X-Rust's summer event series X-Libris will offer nearly 10 hours of italo disco on the terrace of Café Sirius on Saturday the 3rd July. The organization's very own DJ Burdock, Ipe, Joona Puu, Kalle Karvanen and Maria Soini will dig into their record bags for the gems of the genre rarely heard in Turku. As the evening darkens visuals by the organization's veejays Turu Sanoma and VJ Whitespace will complement the atmosphere.

Since the 1980's italo disco has reached a sort of cult status. The music is played on internet radio stations and at underground events, many classic releases have gained a new life in the form of remixes and rereleases and new electronic music rooted in italo is produced.
