Henry Swell aka Henri Laine, bought his first DJ equipment in the early years of the 21st century and started to collect some records and mix tapes. At the time he was satisfied by listening to and collecting those, but at the end of the decade, he found inspiration in mixing and he started to make mix tapes himself. After a couple of years mixing different styles of music, he found his current sound, which is deep, electronic and techno flavoured house music.
Music is and always has been a very important thing in Henry’s life and in addition to playing records and making mix tapes he has gotten into searching the secrets of producing. He also created the event organisation Cielå with his friend DJ Jarier, who nowadays, has been replaced by DJ Homegrove, because Jarier moved away from Finland. The Cielå sound is more like background music, without any dance floor, in little bars and on river boats. Henry joined X-Rust at the end of 2014.
